You went out and picked a bunch of quarts of strawberries. And now you are asking yourself, “What am I gonna do with all these strawberries?!” So here are some things to do with your freshly picked strawberries, some of which I’ll be doing myself!
- Eat them! 😀
- Strawberry smoothies – I made these this morning, and they were so good!
- Easy Freezie Pops – My kids love these easy-to-make treats!
- Strawberry jam – looks SUPER easy!!!
- Strawberry Freezer Jam – recipe also found on Sure-Jell packages. My neighbor told me about this and said it was effortless and could freeze for up to a year.
- Sparkling Holiday Jam – great idea to make now & save for Christmas gifts.
- Strawberry Cocktails – such a nice treat made even tastier with fresh berries!
- Oven-Dried Strawberries – make strawberry chips for a healthy alternative snack!
- Strawberry Ice Cubes to add some fun to your party drinks!
- Strawberry Apple Pie – I make strawberry rhubarb pie every year, but I had to improvise as I could not find rhubarb in stores right now. I used the apples I had on hand and it came out EXCELLENT! I cheat and buy refrigerated pie crust from the store, though. 😯
- American Flag Cake – super patriotic and a tasty treat for your summer gathering!
- Chocolate Covered Strawberries – I have made these many times, and they are delicious! My favorite brand of chocolate chips is Ghirardelli.
- Freeze Them – Chop up strawberries and store them in Ziploc freezer bags to use at a later time. Some of these ideas above can even use these frozen strawberries as the pie or smoothies.
