Have you had a chance to stop in to pretty much any Dollar Tree to scope out their newly expanded craft aisle? I find it amazing the number of arts and crafts that they now carry! I have seen everything from various paints, brushes, wood projects, scrapbooking supplies, and even yarn!

I spotted many things at two of my local Dollar Tree stores in Buffalo and Lockport, NY. If you see something you like, be sure to check out your store’s selection too! Keep in mind that products vary by location, but I have found a large assortment at the many stores I have visited.

There are lots of different types of paints, from watercolor to acrylic. And there are so many different colors to choose from! One of my favorite paints has been the chalkboard paint. It has been great to use on the wooden projects we have done over the years at Lowe’s and Home Depot! They also have a variety of paintbrushes, sponges, trays, and artist canvas.

Lots of wooden projects to paint too!

My kids have loved painting and decorating those little wooden cubes – they use them like Minecraft pixels!

They have modeling clay and bags of air dry clay, all for just $1!

So many stickers and scrapbooking accessories!

There are lots of glue choices from glitter to tacky to spray glue.

They even have bingo daubers! OK I know that’s not a craft, but it was in that section. 😊

Look for really cute chalkboard accessories which complement a planter, fairy garden, miniature house, scrapbooks, and more.

There are pom poms, chenille pipe cleaners, miniature bottles and containers, and clothespins.

Lots of different beads and twine.

And googly eyes, embroidery thread, felt numbers, sequins, jewels, and buttons!

Be on the look out for neat papers and fabrics to craft with. One of my favorite finds is that sequin fabric – super cool!

They even have threads and cross-stitch kits!

Finally, don’t forget all the yarn! Again, this varies greatly by store, but if you go to one of the larger locations (like Lockport in my area), you are sure to find lots of different yarns available!

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
