I haven’t had a chance to organize myself this week for dollar doubler shopping at Tops, however, I did squeeze in one order so far. Only because I needed paper towels really bad and I noticed a nice offer back through Fetch Rewards. I didn’t expect the price to be so high, even for Viva. However, with the coupon, dollar doubler and points back it worked out to be an OK deal.
Dollar doubler weeks are a double-edged sword for me because I can’t just run in and get one or two things. Essentially I start thinking about how I can get items for $2 less when I pair a manufacturer’s coupons with the doubler. It is a real struggle as I am obsessed with this promotion. ?
Here is my dollar doubler shopping order from Tuesday:
McCain Veggie Tots – $3.00
Kellogg’s Special K Raspberry Cereal – $1.99
(2) Siggi Yogurt @ $1.49 each – $2.98
Ken’s Simply Vinaigrette Dressing – $2.50
Viva Multi-Purpose Paper Towels – $9.79
Dole Fridge Pack Fruit Bowl – $1.99
Total before coupons = $22.25
Tax – $0.86
Used these coupons:
$0.70 off 1 Special K Raspberry Cereal coupon doubled (no longer available)
$1.00 off 2 Siggi’s yogurt printable
$1.00 off 1 Kens Vinaigrette coupon from 1/5 SS
$1.00 off 1 Viva Paper Towels coupon from 1/5 SS
$1.00 off 1 Dole Fridge Pack printable coupon or in 1/5 SS
? Used (4) Tops dollar doubler coupon with $20+ minimum spend
Paid = $13.71
Submitted for this cashback:
$0.75 cashback on McCain Veggie Tots through Ibotta
$0.75 cashback on Kellogg’s Special K through Ibotta
$0.75 cashback wyb 2 on Siggi’s through Ibotta
$0.65 cashback on Ken’s Dressing through Ibotta
$0.20 cashback bonus on any receipt through Ibotta
3,097 points from Fetch Rewards on Viva Paper Towels (= $3.10 in rewards)
= $7.51 for all 7 items, basically the cost of the paper towels
So not a bad deal overall with my dollar doubler shopping haul. Especially considering I just went in for the paper towels. I’m hoping to get my coupons organized tonight so I can get some more orders in on Thursday and Friday.
I have a hard time organizing my coupons. Any suggestions?
Hi Karol! For sure, it is hard to get organized with coupons, especially during dollar doubler week! I divide transactions into envelopes. Then I write what I plan to purchase in that transaction right on the envelope. I also add any of the coupons I need for that order right inside the envelope. I go through a lot of envies, but you can pick up a box at Dollar Tree. It’s worth it to help keep you organized during doublers.
I also start my transaction ideas by looking at $1 manufacturer coupons first. Then I try to fill in the rest of the order either with essentials I need (like fruit or meat) or with other coupons, not $1 in value.
Finally, my coupon organizer bag that I carry is great. I will be posting on that product soon.
I hope these tips help you!
