I received an email recently that tickets for the next Smithsonian Magazine FREE Museum Day are now available to request! This year’s event will be held on September 18, 2021.
There are many different options to choose from, however, tickets are available in limited quantities. Therefore if you see a place you would like to check out on free museum admission day, grab your tickets now.
Here’s how to get your free tickets:
- Head over to the Smithsonian Magazine website here. Click “Log In” if you already have an account from previous years or “Register” to sign up for a new account.
- Once logged in, select the “Find A Museum” link in the top header.
- Use the parameters in the left-hand column to sort by zip code or state. Or you can use the search bar at the top to look for a specific museum if you have one in mind. Not all museums are participating so you might need to look through the list if your choices are not showing up.
- Once you have decided, click the “Get A Ticket” button for the venue you would like to visit.
- Type in your email and name. Also, check the box if you want to receive future offers and news from Smithsonian Magazine (this is optional).
- Next click “Generate Ticket” and on the next screen, you will be able to download your free admission ticket for September 18th, 2021!
Note that your free admission ticket will get you and one guest admitted to the venue you select. You must present the official downloaded and printed version of the ticket on September 18th to get your free admission.
