Is there anything better than visiting a town that smells like chocolate? If you are looking for things to do in Hershey, PA, you will not be disappointed.

Hershey, Pennsylvania, is well known for being the American birthplace of affordable chocolate. While chocolate is the main focus of the town, there are so many things to do. Whether you visit Hersheypark or the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum, you’re going to love your visit to Hershey, PA.

Hersheypark

An amusement park centered around chocolate? Does it get any better? You can enjoy rides, shows, shopping, and – of course – great dining. It’s a place where you can spend an entire day and never get bored or run out of things to do. Best of all, there’s something for the entire family. If you want to beat the crowds, visit during the week while school is still in session.

Hershey Gardens

If you’re looking for a relaxing way to spend part of your vacation, Hershey Gardens is a must. With over 23 acres of botanical gardens, it’s something you can not miss. During April, for example, there are 20,000 tulips in bloom. Imagine surrounding yourself in all these beautiful plants after a day at the amusement park.  Best of all, if you have a membership at your local Gardens, you may be able to get FREE Admission to the Hershey Gardens through the reciprocal benefit.  We have an annual membership to the Erie County Botanical Gardens and have enjoyed this benefit when we vacationed at Hershey.

The Spa at The Hotel Hershey

Located in The Hotel Hershey, The Spa is something that women can not pass up. There are so many wonderful treatments to choose from, but one of the most popular is Whipped Cocoa Bath. If you thought life couldn’t get any better, you obviously haven’t bathed in hot chocolate. If it seems too hot to take a soak, consider the Cocoa Facial Experience instead.

ZooAmerica

If your family loves animals, ZooAmerica is a must. The attraction is located next to Hersheypark and features over 200 animals in the 11-acre zoo. Your family will get to know more about animals from five regions of North America. If you’re traveling with several people, be sure to check out the group education programs.

Antique Automobile Club of America Museum

Looking for something for the boys to do while the girls enjoy the gardens and the spa? This is a great option. The Antique Automobile Club of America Museum is actually part of the Smithsonian and features various vehicles from the 1890s to the 1980s. There are even interactive exhibits that kids of all ages will love.

The Hershey Story

If you’re looking for an educational experience in Hershey, PA, you need to visit The Hershey Story Museum. It’s an educational experience that tells the story of how Milton Hershey created one of the world’s biggest brands. You’ll explore museum exhibits and interactive exhibits that tell this man’s inspiring story.

Hershey’s Chocolate World

Finally, if you want to get the full chocolate experience, you need to visit Hershey’s Chocolate World. There’s so much to do. You can create your own candy bar (our favorite!), do the 4D Chocolate Mystery experience, do a chocolate tasting, and much more. One more thing. Don’t miss the gift shop where you can find some mega huge chocolate bars and an impressive King Tut made completely from Twizzlers.
